Your safety is our #1 priority. Due to Covid-19, all Talent Mastermind sessions are currently virtual events, hosted through Zoom Meeting, Google Meet/Google Hangout, or other online tools.
We love to help successful freelancers take their businesses to the next level on Upwork and achieve even more than they thought possible.
Surrounding yourself with other like-minded, success-oriented people is one way to do that — that’s why we created Talent Masterminds, small peer-group meetings for top talent where you can share experiences and expertise and solve your freelancing challenges.
Attendees mentor each other, brainstorm together, and hold each other accountable. Mastermind sessions are exclusively for talent who have attained Top Rated Plus or Expert-Vetted status on Upwork who are passionate about growing their business.
We’ve heard from many past attendees that they often stay in touch and continue to share their experiences and wisdom with one another.
Note: Talent Masterminds are not an official Upwork event. Upwork does not endorse and is not responsible for any of the views expressed during these sessions.
Talent Mastermind events are invite-only. Email invites are sent to those who qualify (have Top Rated Plus or Expert-Vetted status), and have opted in to receiving marketing/event emails from Upwork. If you want to accept an invitation, you do have to register and will receive a confirmation email. If you register and then realize you will be unable to attend, please cancel your ticket or let us know.
On average 5 to 6 freelancers participate in the Talent Mastermind session, including the host.
Talent Mastermind events are one-time, peer-group meetings. A session usually lasts 1 to 2 hours. However, we have heard from previous attendees that some groups continue to interact after the initial meeting.
Sessions are free of charge, but you do have to register (you’ll receive a confirmation).
Talent Masterminds are hosted virtually via Zoom Meeting, Google Hangout/Google Meet or other online tools, with enabled video and audio.
No, sessions are not recorded, to respect the confidentiality of the group and help everyone feel comfortable discussing their issues. We recommend that participants take confidentiality seriously also. If you hear any valuable observations or come away with to-do items, we recommend taking notes.
We’re glad you asked! If you would like to host a Talent Mastermind event, you can submit your request by filling out this form. Please note that you must have earned Top Rated Plus or Expert-Vetted status to host. If you’re selected to host, we’ll provide you with resources and tips, answer any questions you have, and send out invites. Remember, Talent Masterminds are independently and voluntarily hosted events for the benefit of the independent talent who host and attend. There is no monetary compensation for hosting or attending.
