Every Enterprise engagement begins with an onboarding process pre-established with your account rep. You can track this process for each offer in Freelancers > Onboarding.
Possible onboarding tasks might include:
- Worker classification determination for compliance accounts
- Background checks or other screening
- Having freelancers complete an additional NDA or IP ownership agreement
For clients who enroll in Upwork compliance services, some or all tasks will be handled by Upwork. Otherwise, your company will be responsible for determining worker classification as well as all other necessary steps to get the freelancer ready to work.
Please note that this process will need to be repeated for every new offer, even if you’ve worked together before. Compliance services’ checklist, in particular, must be freshly evaluated with every new engagement. Other items might already be in place and can be quickly checked off as complete without additional effort.
