This feature is only available to administrators of partner companies. Learn more about becoming an Upwork Partner at Upwork.com/partners
The Upwork partner portal allows partner companies to build their experts program on Upwork through a dedicated Partner Experts page.
Using the partner portal’s self-serve features, you can:
- Build your Experts page: See talent profiles and curate a collection of trusted experts
- Publish your Experts page: Publish your Experts page anytime you like, and promote it through any method, channel, or point in your product experience that benefits your customers
- Manage your Experts page: Serve emerging customer needs by creating new use cases and selecting experts and services to support them
The admin from your company will work with our team to get access to the partner portal and invite other team members. To start, the admin will sign up for an Upwork client account with the company email address (if you already have an account associated with your company, provide your Upwork representative the email address). We’ll add access to the partner portal to your Upwork account, then you can invite coworkers.
Once you’ve been provided access, log in to Upwork and choose your profile on the upper right corner. Select the Partner portal option.
Admins on the account can invite other team members to access the partner portal.
To add a coworker:
- Choose your profile in the upper-right corner of your home page and select Invite a Coworker
- Enter the email addresses of any team members you want to invite, add an optional message, and select Invite
- They will receive an email invitation to join your partner account
Important:
Everyone with access to your partner portal will need an Upwork client account. All users will have the same permissions and capabilities, while the admin has the ability to add and remove users from the company portal.
Within the Partner Experts page, you can create use cases, which are specific scenarios related to using your product or service. Use cases allow you to deliver solutions to your customers alongside a list of experts who can help.
You can also offer your customers multiple ways to work with experts, including hourly contracts, fixed-priced projects, and consultations.
- Hourly contracts: This type of contract allows for flexibility in terms of work scope and time commitment for work that may vary in duration and complexity
- Fixed-price projects: These are predefined packages of work available for purchase for a set price, delivered within a specific timeframe.
- Consultations: These are one-time, 1-on-1 sessions to get expert advice
Add a use case
Add options to your Experts page by choosing the Create a new use case button. The name is public, so we suggest making it short and descriptive (for example: Graphic Design, Email Automation, Optimization & Analytics).
Add or change talent
You need at least 10 experts for your Partner Experts page. Choose Approved experts to see the experts that are currently featured on your page.
You can also search for more freelancers and add them to your use case:
- Within the use case, select the three dots and choose Edit use case details. You can use the search bar and filters to find more results based on your criteria
- Select Save changes and review the new list of freelancers
- To approve or decline a freelancer for your Experts page, select the check mark or X next to their profile
When you search for freelancers, our algorithm uses both platform-generated data—such as the number of completed projects and client feedback—and freelancer-generated information, such as descriptions of their offered services.
From the search page, you can search by keyword.
Freelancers will stay on the page unless:
- You remove them
- They are suspended from Upwork because of a Terms of Service violation
- Their JSS drops below 80%
- They make their profile private
Freelancers are not notified when they are added or removed from your Experts page.
Remove talent:
- Within your Experts page, select the use case for which the expert appears and find them in Approved experts
- Select the X next to their profile. They will be moved to the declined experts tab
Remove a fixed-price project or consultation:
- Find the consultation, or project within Experts page
- Select the X to remove them from your page
Here, you can customize the page assets with a logo and branded image. A branded image and two versions of your company’s logo are required to publish your Experts page:
- Logo (light and dark theme)
- File format: SVG
- Maximum logo height: 24px
- Branded image
- File format: JPG or PNG
- Maximum file size: 10MB
- Aspect ratio: 4:3
Updated images are reflected immediately on your Experts page.
