Upwork's Job Success Score or JSS reflects previous client satisfaction working with a freelancer. Job success scores can boost freelancers visibility on the platform and give clients the confidence that freelancers have the ability to deliver quality work. Maintaining a high JSS helps you earn top rated and top rated plus badges. You can earn JSS after working with two different clients in your lifetime and after completing two or more eligible jobs on Upwork. Eligible jobs are ones with end of contract feedback or in the case of long-term contracts. Jobs where payment is made every 90 days. Scores look at jobs completed within the last 24 months. Scores update daily and use many factors to calculate the most accurate summary of a freelancer's abilities and professionalism. One key factor is client satisfaction, which includes public feedback, private feedback, and reasons. A contract ended jobs with higher earnings and the contract length have a bigger impact on your job Success score. Jobs with earnings between $1 to $250 weighted as one job. Jobs with earnings between $251 to $1,000 weighted as 1.25 jobs and earnings of more than $1,000 weighted as 1.5 jobs for contract length every three months with payment is weighted as an extra job up to a maximum weight of eight jobs. Remember that some jobs or clients may be excluded from your JSS to ensure score integrity and protect you from potential bad actors.
