The Upwork for Freelancers app for iOS lets freelancers and agencies stay connected to their Upwork projects anytime, anywhere. Now you can do almost everything you normally do on a desktop browser from your Apple device, including editing payment methods, managing your membership, and adding connects. You can download the app here.
With the Upwork for Freelancers app you can:
- Search jobs and submit proposals
- View, accept or decline job invitations and offers
- Update your profile
- Receive notifications
- Reply to and compose messages
- End contracts and give feedback
- Add Connects or change membership plans
- Edit payment methods
- Verify your Identity when applying to U.S. jobs
NOTE: If you are working with Enterprise clients you will still need to use a browser for onboarding tasks and viewing your Talent Cloud page.
The Upwork for Freelancers app is compatible with all Apple devices running iOS 11 or later.

The Android version of the app is currently in development and will be released soon.
Clients should continue using the current Upwork Mobile App. Upwork will not be releasing a new app for clients. Instead, we plan to transition clients on to the new app and retire the old app.
To ensure our mobile app includes all of the capabilities our community uses the most, we decided to build one from scratch. Until we finish migrating freelancers, agencies, and eventually, clients to the new app, you will see two Upwork apps in the iOS store.
If you use Upwork as a freelancer and as a client, you should keep both apps for now. The new iOS app is currently for freelancers only, but will eventually become the sole app for all Upwork users, clients included. We’ll let you know when that happens.
Yes, you can continue using your same freelancer login info on the new app.
If you exclusively use Upwork as a freelancer you can delete the old app.
