What are the benefits of Rising Talent?
If you’re awarded the Rising Talent badge, we’ll display it on your profile, proposals, and Project Catalog projects. You'll also get the following benefits:
- A one-time bonus of 30 free Connects
- Ability to offer consultations to share expertise with clients
How do I become eligible for a Rising Talent badge?
No action is needed on your part. If you qualify to become Rising Talent, we'll email you to let you know the badge has been added to your profile. You may keep the badge as long as you remain eligible.
Criteria
To earn the badge as a freelancer, you must first:
- Be invited by us
OR
- Have an average star rating of 4.8 or above and earned at least $250 USD in the past 12 months
You also must:
- Maintain a 100% complete profile with accurate skills and genuine work
- Have submitted a proposal or worked within the past 90 days
- Have a Job Success Score (JSS) of 90% or higher, if you've earned one. Note: You can still qualify for a Rising Talent badge before earning a JSS.
- Not have any account holds
- Not have any public or private negative feedback from clients
- Have the identification verified badge
- Have a valid withdrawal method added to your account
- Follow our Terms of Service
In addition, agencies must also have:
- Two or more team members, including agency owner
- Maintain a 100% complete agency profile
- Maintain a 100% complete agency owner profile
- Maintain a 60% or higher average profile completeness across the agency
Can I get my Rising Talent badge back if I lose it?
Yes. If you meet the Rising Talent criteria again in the future you can re-earn the Rising Talent badge. Once you are eligible again, please allow 24 hours for the badge to be re-added.
Good to know: Once you have enough work history on Upwork, you'll also earn a Job Success Score (JSS). Then you'll start working toward Top Rated status. Keep up the great work!
