How do I update my account information?
- Go to Account Settings > Settings
What account information can I edit?
- Your freelancer profile. This includes how your name appears on your profile, education, employment history, skills, title, and portfolio
- Your password and additional account security options
- Your name.
- Your email address. Be sure to use an address you check frequently. If you change your personal email address in your account, you will need to accept a confirmation message

Your address, phone number, and time zone. For tax purposes, it’s important that you use your real, permanent address.
What account information cannot be edited?
You cannot edit:
- The Upwork User ID that we assign to you
- Your verified name (reach out if your legal name has changed)
