The transaction history allows you to download official invoices and receipts for all billings and payments. You can access individual documents or bulk download them with filters. Invoices include details like fees, taxes, and contact information. Only account owners and admins with proper permissions can access these features.
Your transaction history has a new look!
Want to see the old transaction history again?
To help everyone adapt to the changes, you can toggle between the old and new version through Sept. 30, 2025.
Get an official invoice or receipt
All billings and payments on your transaction history have official invoices and receipts that you can download or print for record-keeping purposes.
To access individual invoices:
- Go to Reports > Transaction history
- Select the transaction row to see the transaction summary in the slideout, which will display all charges and payments related to that transaction
- To download both the transaction summary and the individual PDFs for each charge and payment, choose Download PDF
- To download an invoice or receipt for a specific charge or payment on the summary, choose the download icon in the invoice or receipt columns
Bulk download invoices and receipts
The way we process your bulk invoice downloads depends on how many invoices are in your request:
- Small requests: Most bulk invoice downloads process within 30 seconds. The files will appear in your computer’s downloads folder
- Large requests: Larger downloads may take up to two hours. When ready, a link to a ZIP file will be sent to your email and remain active for 72 hours.
- Errors: If you select too many invoices, reduce your request size and try again.
To download bulk invoices and receipts:
- Go to Reports > Transaction history
- Apply any filters you want; options include dates and transaction types, both by freelancer and by contract
- Choose Select download dropdown
- Choose a CSV file, which shows a summary of transactions, or PDFs, which will generate separate PDFs for each transaction in one zip file.
What’s included on invoices and receipts
A transaction summary breaks down each charge, fee, and tax to make reconciliation easier. Payments applied to that transaction show at the bottom under the receipt section.
Invoices and receipts also show contact details for both you and your freelancer, including:
- Company name
- Tax residence (edit under Settings > Tax information)
- Company owner’s name
- VAT number (if any)
- Freelancer’s verified name and invoicing address (if provided)
Note:
To help protect the security of your financial information, we have limited the invoice and receipt tools in transaction history to company owners and admins with full or finance-only permissions.
