Why should I check for a freelancer's license?
Some types of freelance work—especially in highly regulated industries—may require a professional license. Freelancers can add license details to their profiles, including a link to a licensing verification website.
If your project requires a license for legal or professional reasons, it’s your responsibility to check the freelancer’s license and make sure it meets your needs.
Where do I find license information on a freelancer's profile?
- Go to the freelancer’s profile
- Look for the "License" section in the sidebar — it will only appear if they've added a license
- Click or tap Show details to see more info, including the link to the license verification website (if the freelancer added one)
Note:
You must be logged in to see license details.
