Hire rate is a metric that we share with you to help you decide if you’d like to work with a given client.

A client's hire rate is calculated by looking at how often they end up hiring freelancers or agencies after posting a job. For example, if a client's hire rate is 50%, that means they have hired a freelancer or agency for half of the jobs they have posted on Upwork.

We include this metric under the “About the client” section of every job post, along with other client information.
