What’s the Average Response Time tag?
This tag shows the average response time that it takes you to reply to client messages. Clients are more likely to reach out—and hire—when they see you’re responsive. It helps build trust and encourages faster project starts, especially for time-sensitive work.
There are five average response time tags you might see on your profile based on your own individual average response time.:
- Avg. Response: 0-4h
- Avg. Response: 4-8h
- Avg. Response: 8-12h
- Avg. Response: 12-24h
- Avg. Response: 24+
How do I earn the responsiveness tag?
You’ll automatically receive the tag if you meet all these criteria:
- You’ve been active recently: sent proposals or received/accepted invites in the past three months
- You have replied back to a client message on at least five different occasions
Where does the responsiveness tag show up?
Your tag may appear on:
- Your profile
- Proposals you've submitted
- Invitations clients send
What if I lose the responsiveness tag?
Tags are updated regularly. If your response speed drops below the threshold, the tag may disappear until your stats improve.
Why don’t I see a responsiveness tag on my profile?
We’re still testing this feature, so not all freelancers who qualify will see the tag right now. It’s also possible you didn’t meet the eligibility criteria during the most recent measurement period. Tags update regularly, so if you stay active and keep replying quickly, you may see it soon.
How often does the responsiveness tag update?
It updates weekly based on how quickly you’ve replied to client messages in the last 90 days.
