How can I promote my project to get more business?
You can help promote your project in several ways:
- Stay visible on Project Catalog by keeping your project turned on
- Complete projects successfully with good feedback from clients to improve your results in Search
- Share a link to your project in social media or on your own website or blog. Shared projects get 2x more views and 3x more purchases
I'm getting too much work. Can I control the number of projects that get purchased?
Yes! Accepting only what you can deliver helps build trust with your clients.
To help manage your workload, you can:
- Turn off your project’s visibility when you're too busy to accept more offers and turn it back on when you're ready for more work. Learn more about controlling your visibility here
- Set a limit on the number of active projects you can accept at any one time. Once that number is reached, your project won't be available for purchase until you've completed one of your current orders. (If you don't set a number, the we automatically set a default limit of 20 orders for each project at any one time)
If you do get more purchases than you can complete in the promised timeframe, you can also cancel the project within 24 hours of purchase without affecting your JSS.
Can I make changes to my project?
Yes! Keeping it up-to-date as you gain more experience is a good idea.
You can edit almost every part of your project, including these parts:
- Description
- Deliverables
- Category
- Images
- Video
- PDFs
- Add-ons
Will my project have to be reviewed again if I make changes?
Some changes do require us to re-review your project. But in most cases, we will keep your project live while we are rechecking it. The exception is if you edit the category. In that case, we may move your project back to draft status, and clients will not be able to view or purchase it until after we have reviewed the changes.
What happens if I can’t deliver the work on time?
We don’t stop your project if it goes beyond the deadline. However, your client may ask for a refund.
If you realize that your project delivery might be late, contact the client as soon as possible to communicate what is happening and why. Both on-time delivery and good communication are extremely important to clients.
