If you are a freelancer located in Kosovo, you’ll see that "Kosovo" or "Republic of Kosovo" is not currently an option in our dropdown menu when joining Upwork.
Don’t worry though, there’s a workaround for you. Please follow these steps:
- Select a nearby country in the dropdown: Choose Albania, for example, or the nearest country listed
- Wait to hear from us: We’ll kick off a manual review and send you a secure, personalized link to begin verifying your identity
- Submit Your Kosovo ID: Once you have the link, follow the steps there. Learn how to correctly submit your ID here
