Learn how to switch between light, dark, and auto theme on Upwork. Follow simple steps to change your display mode and sync with your device settings.
You can choose dark or light mode for your Upwork display, or set Upwork’s theme to sync with your device.
To set your mode:
- Go to your profile dropdown in the navigation bar at the top of your screen
- From the dropdown selections, choose Theme
- Choose from Auto (syncs to your device's settings), Light mode, or Dark mode.
Once you make your choice, the icon beside Theme will change to reflect it — showing a computer screen, a light, or a moon. You can update it at any time.
Some pages on Upwork may still display in light mode when dark mode is activated, but most will match your choice.
