Offer: Reduced Basic Plan Marketplace Fees
Eligibility. You must have an Upwork account in good standing and be on an active client Basic plan.
How it works. Start a new service contract in the Customer Service, Data Entry, or Project Management & Market Research categories between April 9, 2026 and August 28, 2026 (“Discount Period”) and you’ll receive a reduced Marketplace fee of 0% on that contract for 6 months from the contract start date (“Fee Discount Period”).
Discount applies only to Upwork Marketplace fee. It does not change freelancer payouts, escrowed amounts, or taxes/government fees.
Plan changes. If you change between Basic and Business Plus plans during the Discount Period, the promotional fee for your current plan will apply to new contracts started after the change. Contracts started before a plan change will continue under their original promotional rate for the remainder of their Fee Discount Period.
Restrictions & exclusions.
- One promotional offer per client account; not transferable; may not be combined with other offers or special pricing.
- New contracts only started within the Discount Period (renewals or existing contracts are not eligible).
- Upwork may correct errors, revoke the offer for misuse, or modify/terminate the promotion prospectively.
