What are testimonials?
Testimonials are feedback from clients you worked with outside of Upwork. They gave freelancers another way to highlight their experience and past client relationships on their profiles.
Although we no longer accept new testimonial requests, you may still see previously published testimonials on freelancer profiles.
Can I request a new testimonial?
No. We no longer accept new testimonial requests.
What happens to testimonials already on my profile?
Testimonials already published on your profile will remain there. You can choose whether to show or hide them on your profile.
Can I hide a testimonial?
Yes. You can hide a testimonial from your profile by switching Visibility to Off. You can switch visibility back on if you want to show the testimonial again.
Can I edit a testimonial?
No. We can’t make corrections or other edits to existing testimonials, including fixing typos.
Do testimonials affect my Job Success Score?
No. Testimonials don’t affect your Job Success Score.
How else can I showcase my past work?
You can use your Portfolio to showcase examples of your past work and help potential clients understand your skills and experience.
