As a best practice for keeping you and your information safe, we recommend that you change your password every 90 days. We also recommend setting up a security question and updating it every 90 days.
To ensure you have a strong password, you should include uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, and symbols. Your security answer should be something memorable for you, but not easy for someone to guess or find online.
Don’t share your password or security answer with anyone, and never allow others to log into your Upwork account.
To change your password:
- Go to Settings › Password & Security
- Choose the ✎ icon in the Password section
- Enter your existing password, then create a new one
NOTE: In order to change your password, you need to know your current password and security answer, if you’ve set one up. If you have forgotten either of them, go here to learn how to reset them.
