If someone contacts you outside of Upwork using info found on Upwork, report it to us immediately.
Upwork is designed for all freelance work—from pitching to payment—to happen on our site. Contacting users outside Upwork before a contract starts violates our Terms of Service. This behavior, known as unsolicited contact, often indicates bad intentions and puts you at risk of losing access to your Upwork account.
Consequences of Violations
Violating these policies by sharing contact information or soliciting payment outside of Upwork will result in immediate and permanent account termination. This behavior undermines the integrity of our platform and leaves users vulnerable to scams and fraud.
