In our globally connected world, you may want to work with clients who are in a different country, region, or state than you. This can be difficult for clients due to different labor and tax laws in each location, especially laws about how workers are classified.
Any Hire is a specialized platform within Upwork that helps clients make worker classification decisions about whether talent can work as an independent contractor or an employee, to make it easier for you and clients to work together. It also streamlines work processes — you can onboard to Upwork, manage work on your contract, and receive payment — all from one simple dashboard.
Any Hire is for clients who found you on their own, outside of Upwork. You may have a profile on Upwork, but as long as they found you independently, they can still hire you through Any Hire.
When a client offers you an Any Hire contract, you can choose to accept or decline just like any other contract. If you decide to move forward with the contract, we’ll guide you through the steps to get started. Learn more about how Any Hire Contracts work.
Note:
If a client who found you on Upwork wants to hire you through Any Hire, they’ll need to go through the conversion process. Learn more about proper use of Any Hire here, and learn more about what happens if you move off Upwork here.
