Why isn’t the Accept Offer button working for me? I want to accept a job offer.

It may be:

  • Issues on the client side. The client may need to updated their billing method, or there may be a hold on their account for another reason
  • Your account status. Your Upwork account must be active and not suspended or restricted. There shouldn’t be any holds, warnings, or restrictions preventing new contracts. If your account is active, the issue is usually on the client’s side


What should I do if I can’t accept a job offer?

If you suspect the issue is on the client’s side, you may want to contact the client via Upwork Messages and let them know. You can suggest they:
 

  • Verify that their primary billing method is active and up to date:
  1. Go to Settings > Billing & Payments
  2. Review Billing Methods
  3. Ensure a valid payment method is set as Primary
  • Check their Upwork account for any notifications or alerts regarding billing or account status.
