How do I respond to the public feedback my client left me?
You can leave a public response to feedback for 28 days after your contract ends. After that, you will not be able to respond.
- Go to All contracts and select the title of the contract
- Select the Contract details tab to view feedback
- In the feedback pane, choose Respond to this feedback
Important to know:
- You may only post one response to a particular piece of feedback
- Once your response is submitted, it can't be edited
- Your response can take up to 24 hours to show on your profile
- When writing your response, we recommend focusing on the facts and carefully considering your tone and language. A thoughtful, professional response to criticism can help build your brand as someone who is responsive to your clients’ needs and concerns even when you disagree or when things don’t go well
I don't agree with the public feedback my client left for me. What should I do?
Feedback represents someone’s opinion, and because of this, we can't edit it or make determinations about its accuracy.
You can discuss the matter with your client, however, and they can update any public feedback they left. If they agree to do so, you can enable the changes from within the contract.
Note: In rare cases, we may be able to remove the feedback if you report it to us and we find that it violates our Terms of Service. Learn about feedback removal.
