What is the Upwork partner portal?
The Upwork partner portal allows partner companies to build their experts program on Upwork through a dedicated Upwork Partner Experts page.
Using the partner portal’s self-serve features, you can:
- Build your experts page: See talent profiles and curate a collection of trusted experts
- Publish your experts page: Publish your Experts page anytime you like, and promote it through any method, channel, or point in your product experience that benefits your customers
- Manage your experts page: Serve emerging customer needs by creating new use cases and selecting experts and services to support them
How do I get access to the partner portal?
The admin from your company will work with our team to get access to the partner portal and invite other team members. To start, the admin will sign up for an Upwork client account with the company email address (if you already have an account associated with your company, provide your Upwork representative the email address). We’ll add access to the partner portal to your Upwork account, then you can invite coworkers.
To get to the partner portal once you’ve been provided access:
- Log in to Upwork
- Click on your profile on the upper right corner
- Select the Partner portal option
How do I add coworkers to the partner portal?
Admins on the account can invite other team members to access the partner portal.
To add a coworker:
- Choose your profile in the upper-right corner of your home page and select Invite a Coworker
- Enter the email addresses of any team members you want to invite, add an optional message, and select Invite
- They'll receive an email invitation to join your partner account.
Important:
Everyone with access to your partner portal will need an Upwork client account. All users will have the same permissions and capabilities, while the admin has the ability to add and remove users from the company portal.
How do I build and manage my Upwork Partner Experts page?
Add a use case
Within the page, you can create use cases, which are specific scenarios related to using your product or service. Use cases allow you to deliver solutions to your customers alongside a list of experts who can help.
Add options to your Experts page by choosing the Create a new use case button. Use a short, descriptive name (e.g., Graphic Design, Email Automation).
You can also offer your customers multiple ways to work with experts, including hourly contracts, fixed-priced projects, and consultations.
- Hourly contracts: Flexibility in work scope and time commitment for varying needs
- Fixed-price projects: Predefined packages of work at a set price, delivered in a specific timeframe
- Consultations: One-time, 1-on-1 sessions for expert advice
