Account owners can hide an inactive team on Upwork via account settings, after ensuring all contracts are closed and team members (except themselves) are removed. Hidden teams remain accessible in Team Settings and can be restored anytime. Original company teams—automatically generated at company setup—cannot be hidden.
What happens when I hide a team?
It won’t show up in your team list or across most areas of Upwork — but don’t worry, it’s not gone. You’ll still see it on your team settings page, and you can always bring it back if you want to use it again.
How do I hide a team?
- Close any open contracts and remove all team members (except yourself)
- Go to Account settings › Teams & Members
- Find the team you want to hide and select Hide team
You can’t hide the original team that was automatically created when you set up your company.
How do I unhide a team?
- Go to Account settings › Teams & Members
- Find the team you want to unhide and select Show team
