What is the Direct to U.S. Bank option for getting paid on Upwork?

Direct to U.S. Bank is a withdrawal method that allows you to send your Upwork earnings straight to your U.S.-based checking or savings account, as long as the account can accept payments from the Automated Clearing House (ACH) system.

What are the fees for using Direct to U.S. Bank to withdraw my earnings?

We don't charge fees for these transfers, and most banks don’t either (please check yours, to be sure).

If I use the Direct to U.S. Bank option to get paid, how long does the money take to arrive in my bank account?

Funds will arrive in your bank account within two to five business days from ACH deposits. Processing and clearing times can vary widely from bank to bank. Bank holidays can also delay your funds. If your payment hasn't arrived after five business days, reach out to us. We can help trace the payment.
